Bustour - last stop - Cyprus Delight

Our last stop was at a sweet factory  where we had the opportunity to see and buy the best sweets, produced in Paphos.

Bustour - third stop - Petra tou Romiou

Petra tou Romiou - Aphrodite's Rock

According to Greek mythology this is the birthplace of Aphrodite. Therefore it a popular tourist location.

Some of us went for a short swim, others just sat down on the beach.

Bustour - second stop - Kolossi

Fourteen kilometres west of Limassol lies the Kolossi Castle, a limestone castle, built in the early 13th century. Its current form can be dated back to the 15th century. It rises to a height of 21 meters.

The walls of the castle contain an aqueduct, a sugar factory and the byzantine church of St. Efstathios.
The castle’s main gate can be reached by a stone stairway and a drawbridge.
The remains of the sugar factory are east of the castle. To the north of this building there are the ruins of the sugarcane crushing mill and farther north there are the remains of the aqueduct.
This site is often used for taking wedding pictures.
